RE: Steemians: What's your economic philosophy?

I think in theory I would lean more toward libertarian economics, but in all realism I tend more to align with capitalism sprinkled with socialism. There are so many manipulations by central governments and banks that they are able to control economies so that it is not true capitalism. There has to be someone at top of this global economy and I would rather see big government then big business because at least in government, for however much influence and corruption there may be, at least some have the interests of the people at heart and there are balances. In big business there is only one goal. There are also enough entitlements currently that I couldn't take away to fall into my libertarian idealism. My views are always evolving also, but currently this is my general, broad stance

Since when does government have our interests at heart. Big businesses fail if they don't serve their customers.
