Our weather has been crazy here for a couple of years now. I wish we got snow as little as you do but that said, we don't get as much as some states do.

This past winter for me has been insane. I live in a lake effect region and we get 100" +/- 20" each season. We are pretty used to getting quite a bit but it's always over reacted to.
Yeah the 'news' media go all out like it's the end of the world. Overkill!
