The World Gold Council estimates 190,000 Metric Tonnes of Gold has been mined, times 32,150.7 troy oz per tonne = about 6.1 billion troy ounces. With the world population at about 7.7 billion thats way less than an ounce per person. Figure a 20% margin of error, still, puts it at less than an ounce, each. Do you think this estimate is accurate? Is Gold that finite?
