Thanks so much for the audio tip @harrisonmir! Your original tracks and collabs with people like @soundlegion are seriously inspirational... so I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and leave me some advice. I think I worry about “over blasting” the mic on the higher notes, but I will definitely try turning up the gain for my next video!
I don’t really know much about audio mixing, so I really appreciate the offer! Right now I use an apogee microphone, plugged into my iPhone and edit in iMovie. Every once I will pre-record audio in garage band which gives me a few more options to edit the audio levels. My setup is pretty basic.
I think it would be cool to upgrade my setup someday. What are your “must-have” pieces of equipment for your music?
Aw thanks for the kind words - and of course, always happy to help out! 😁
Yeah, honestly the setup conversation is tricky because there is a thousand different ways to do it correctly lol, it's more just about what works for you. Know-how, budget, and just return on investment are all big parts, but really practicality winds up being the most important one. I'd be happy to point you towards some setups that have worked really well for me.
Always feel free to hop in our Discord - pick my brain anytime if you're ever looking to upgrade or even just switch up your setup a little! Not for nothing, I think you would do really well networking/promo'ing there too! https://discord.gg/zku8RFM
Thanks so much for the discord link!! I joined and will pop in there to check it all out!
