In today's video I'll show you a workaround to fix your thumbnail size issues. It only takes a few seconds with each post to make your Steemit blog look much more pleasing to the eye.

Okay, the Mustang is way cool. And you have a great personality and an abundance of charisma. But dude, I would appreciate it if you would get to the point "How To Fix Steemit/Dtube Thumbnail Size Issues"

Lol, although very blatant I do appreciate your feedback. After the feedback I received from this video (you weren't the first to say it) I have totally rethought the way I shoot videos and I do now get to the point when it comes to videos like this. Anyways, thanks for your comment and constructive criticism. I do take it to heart and it's people like yourself who help myself become more successful here on Steemit. I didn't even remember mentioning my Mustang lol but I suppose I did. Keep rocking man and I'm glad to see you here on Steemit! :)

I am a stand up comic and improviser, so glad you laughed. I mean no harm at all. I have to be honest or I am nobody. You are a really cool person for not getting angry or taking my comments personally. I also took your advice and it worked perfectly, the second time. I screwed it up the first time. Thank you very much.

Great tutorial, keep it up :)

Holy crap! I thought I was just an idiot that I was the only one that couldn't figure out the stupid thumbnail problem. I'm implementing this immediately. Thank you so much!

Hah no it wasn’t you. Glad this helped! :)

Thank You!!! very understandable!!!

hey @brandonfrye you have taught me alot of new information about YouTube, dtube, and steemit thanks.

Yes I wanted to know how you did that. Didn’t watch the video yet but I will when I get back home.

Cool, yeah I knew there had to be a workaround. It's very easy to do too. :)

I did upload a test video yesterday I will try it out now

I did notice the same also I don't spend as much time on facebook and less on youtube also.

Glad to hear it's not just me.

I was woundering why this happened on the last video i uploaded. Thank you for sharing. I hope dtube hears about this and fixes the issue but seeing how active the devs are i think it wount take long!

Right, I bet this workaround won't even be needed soon. They're pretty quick to fix things. :)

@brandonfrye watching the video now. Thanks for your consistency. You haven't posted a video yet that did not educate or help the Steemit community. Your work here is appreciated. Also, regarding removing myself from other social media platforms. I am on them, but there is little to nothing to gain from them. Most people are kind of about themselves and the ads are ridiculous. It's much better to be here on Steemit where we can actually engage and get paid, instead of in a sense paying others to be on their social media platform.

Thanks @jr11, I appreciate that. And I agree completely about these other social platforms. I’ve been a lot happier here.

Yessir! Simple fix and makes your feed look a lot more pleasing to the eye. I hear you about that. Took me a while to find a good mix for my images but I'm like you I need things to look...Similar...So it helps viewers / readers become familiar with your brand.

And when the image is tiny for your videos but normal size for the blog posts....Something just bugs me lol

Great tips though man, keep them coming!

Exactly I try to keep it consistent as well. Letting them know when they see my content. Thanks!

Haha so this is the tutorial that you mentioned! Great tutorial as always Brandond, keep them coming :)

Hah yep. It bugged me so much being a stickler for appearance and consistency with my content. Thanks @lukebrn!

Haha it's a good way to be! No worries.

Thanks for explaining that, ditto on Facebook, I knew there was a better way. :)

Well tutorial .
How to get maximum profit and which kind of bots ....pls reply me with a positive answer.

Hey @mdsafwankhan, Thanks for the feedback. And yes, I've done two videos on upvote bots. I recommend checking our my most recent one here. Hope that helps!

This is great, thank you. I was hating the tiny thumbnails and now there is a solution.

Same here. I'm sure they'll get that fixed soon.. but this will help in the meantime. :)

Thank you so much for this, I have a youtube channel with over 3 million views and 8k subscribers. Although I really don't agree with all there new rules and conditions for creators so I am trying to switch to steemit! Your thumbnail advice really helped me, if you have any other advice or tips that would be very appreciated!

Awesome, thanks for the feedback @tnelectronics! And yes, if you go through my channel I have a lot of videos on how-tos and tutorials for Steemit. I'm now adding more about Dtube.

Thank you. The mini thumbnail has been bugging the crap out of me.

Lol me too! Glad that helped :)

Definitely. Just had a chance to watch the vlog. I have been on a similar journey as you with the other social media channels. I post to Instagram/FB stories because it's "temporary," but last year I took a few multi-month breaks from Facebook and Twitter. It was wonderful. What I realized is that I can't completely take myself off of those platforms, though, because there's a lot of people that I care about still on them (hopefully one day they'll all be on Steem). And so my way to deal with that and fight against the addiction is to use app blockers on my phone, and use the Newsfeed Eradicator Chrome Extension for Facebook. I can handle Facebook without the Newsfeed. That's one of the worst things about that platform.

This post has received a 5.50 % upvote from @booster thanks to: @brandonfrye.

Thank you @brandonfrye for making a transfer to me for an upvote of 7.03% on this post! Half of your bid goes to @budgets which funds growth projects for Steem like our top 25 posts on Steem! I am in the process of talking to the friends on facebook. It's two parts. 1. I encourage them to come try Steemit. 2. I explain that I am withdrawing from FB. I get so I'm just pissed when I go there.

I still have cable TV but I probably pay more than most per hour of programming watched. Almost exclusively live sports and maybe the TV is on 5 hours per week, Most days I don't turn it on,

Thanks for another great 'how to' solve a problem here. Keep them coming!

Funny that you bring it here, I thought it was just a bugs.
Really informative man, thanks!

Simple but really helpfull. Nice dude!
Had no idea that you're a mustang lover, Lol

Yes, on my second Mustang actually. Can’t beat American muscle!

Thanks for sharing on how to make the thumbnails bigger.

Absolutely, you’re welcome!

Please take this as constructive criticism.
While I appreciate the help you provide in this video, based on your title, I was expecting you to get straight to the point without the 6 minutes of filler at the beginning. Maybe make a separate video for the Facebook and cable TV talk.
Nevertheless, thanks for the tutorial. I will give it a try.

@movievigilante, I agree completely. That is not how I typically start my videos and after watching it back wish I had left that out. Thanks for your feedback and I’m glad the tutorial was helpful. :)

Thank you, Brandon for this information on how to change the size of the thumbnail. I haven't start to do Dtube yet, but if I'm ready to do it, this video will help a ton. Upvoted!

Thank you that was a great help to me and i"m sure to many others as well, keep up the terrific clips bandonfrye

Facebook is on EVERYONE!! Although I haven't been brave enough to delete the Facebook & Instagram on my Mobile devices, I did turn off notifications :) baby steps...

sounds like someone is on a "media detox"....It must be very liberating. Peace & Positivity :)

That's just straight up HTML. That being said, you should be able to edit the parameters for the image size as a percentage, or by pixel size.
Example: src="" width="125%" height="125%">

Example: src="" width="600px" height="600px"

This may or may not work depending on parameters set in CSS. This way you could tweak the size of the image to exactly what you wanted it. Percentages give you the most control, but pixel based dimensions are good too.

I used to be a web designer, so I understand this stuff. Will have to test it out myself. I'm new here, so haven't done any videos yet though

Most sensible thing I've seen in the comments here. I agree and it's a matter of the Steemit.com and d.tube creators coming to a consensus of how they share their css. I think it's a simple solution like you've mentioned and them getting together on that. I think this will be fixed really quick though.. I hope. :)

I just tested it, and it appears we're locked out from editing the actual HTML :( Was worth a try though. Apparently the size is statically set in CSS, which we don't have access to. Would be cool if they could come up with a way to resize, or enter parameters ourselves.

Just found this video and so glad I did. Now following. I am trying to build up the nerve to create my first video - as part of adding videos to my blog on my website. (And also putting them on dTube/Steemit.)
Anyway, this is great information to have. Thank you!

I accidently put my last thumbnail on my video I uploaded today is there a way to change the the thumbnail once you have already uploaded the video to d.tube? if so can you make a video like this by any chance?

Thanks for taking the time to put this together! I ran into an issue with the rendering of our first video, but after watching this and doing what you instructed, it fixed it. So, thanks again man, much appreciated👍

Really appreciate you sharing this - I am very new to this platform!

Hi @brandonfrye i really appreciated this Video - i knew it was doable any you helped me do it. If you would like to see the result have a look at my "Lemon in Peril" video. - Have a great day!

looks like they've fixed it! But thanks boss.. keep up the content you're a natural in front of the cam

Great info Brandon. Cheers!

Hi. I am always like trying Dtube for months. I can only upload making vids from certain apps on certain video editors

Just subscribed, thanks so much for this =)
