For those of you that do not know who L.A Beast aka. Skippy is, he's a 34 year old YouTube super star that pushes his body to the limits by doing crazy things. He has eaten and done things that would make a billy goat puke! Here is the link to his secondary channel where he talks about the shocking news he discovered this morning.
His primary channel received a strike for eating a dead bug (Hissing Cockroach) during one of his videos. This strike caused his live-stream abilities to be taken away for three months! To someone of his level on YouTube, this really hit him hard in the wallet.
This man does not have a normal job and relies on his adsense revenues from the videos he posts on YouTube. Unfortunately, he suspects that a "troll" or bitter rival may have false flagged the video. This is a very common practice on that platform and the accuser faces no repercussions for this practice, it only hurts the video publisher. Regardless of whether it was a false flag or if it was a real strike, it just goes to show that the people need to be moving from YouTube to D Tube.... Unless you like being restricted and putting up with BS all the time.
Yt is getting outta hand. I made the trek here for a reason. Nice Post Bandit
Yeah, I discovered a while back that someone flagged one if my videos about unboxing some of your products. If I had not been "maintaining" my channel, I would'nt have noticed it and would have missed my chance to have the strike appealed. Shits gotten ridiculous over there with the rules and false flagging.
Did you send him a pm and tell him about dtube @bluelightbandit?
I would. You are out nothing and even though dtube can be a challenge to get your material uploaded...it's still a potential revenue stream for someone who is making their livelihood from video production. ;)
I actually did and even tried to chat with him on his live stream but that was a nightmare on it's own with all the clutter. He has multiple channels so tonight I sent him another to his live stream account that he's using. He would make a killing on D tube!
Especially if his subscribers follow him to dtube...
I went to his channel and watch some of his vids. I laughed my ass off about the one with the hot ice. lol
The guy definitely lives up to his name for sure...BEAST!
that sucks hes a crazy dude, that one where he ate the cactus that was hardcore! :)
Yeah, I enjoy watching some of his stuff.
There seems to be a problem with dTube tho. On YouTube you can upload videos, and YouTube will suggest them to random people, and if you just keep uploading on a regular basis, and people like your videos, YouTube will suggest them to more and more people. But on dTube it seems impossible to reach anyone. Only the most popular videos are featured, and it way too hard to get your videos seen when you are just a small channel.
Oh be patient grasshopper! Look at how old YouTube is. Look at how much money they have and how much experience they have compared to D Tube. Its not a fair comparison, my friend. I've had a YT channel for a few years now and I made more money on D Tube with just 3 videos than all of my videos combined on YT, which is well over 100. Give it time, my man and great things will happen. I agree that bugs have to be worked out but just look at how new the platform is and look at how long YT has been out. This is just the beginning of something great in my opinion.
True. I think DTube right now is ok. And I hope in the future it gets much better. Also, if DTube doesn't get a ton better, someone else could make something similar.
Thats true also, Ive thought about that.
Have A Good Day!
Thanks, you too!
That must have hit him hard! I remember when my channel was taken down and it was a pain in the ass! :/ I wish he gets it back or something to get again to his fans.
He has his on agent, so I'm sure it will get resolved soon...but still!
