I missed out on the mead discussion and jumped in on the back end of eggs -- the most awesome complete food there is. We get through lots of eggs at our house.
It's great that you're reading lots of books. Have you heard of the 10,000 hours rule? I read a book, a while ago, called Talent is Overrated. It says that those who find great success are those that put the hours in. The author's hypothesis is that it takes roughly 10,000 hours to be an expert at something. These driven people practice longer hours, more frequently, study more... just like the berserkers. It's a great formula.
100% Anjkara. I know the 10.000 hour rule. But that rule only applies to very hard stuff like learning instruments.
Here is what I listen to when I think about quitting or taking a day off.
Thanks for these Phil. Great motivational stuff. He mentions Henry Rollins in the first vid... I love that guy. He's brutal, truthful AND hilarious. I missed to opportunity to see him perform live (a while back). Gutted.
2nd vid: I agree about too much info being distracting. It's like this when you're writing. You can overdo the research and info which hinders productivity.
Cheers :)
