I have made this video by myself with great effort. I am not good at editing video and this is my best try, but I know it is not the best video.
I am trying to say it could be better :)
So I am posting this with Creative Commons license and extend an invitation for collaboration.
There must be people here on steemit that are better at video editing than me!!!
So I am saying this video can be edited however, for any purpose , could be transformed in something else completely and I would appreciate it a lot.
I will make this in a contest / challenge type of post, and I will split equally the reward with the best video editor that makes this video better.
I will resteem and upvote everyone that participates and if there are many good participants I will share more from my half of the reward.
All you have to do is:
- Re-edit this video
- Make a post about it
- Mention me as the painting’s author ( @alexandravart )
- Copy/paste your post’s link in the comment section - so I will not miss it :)
- Upvote and resteem this post - it is not mandatory ! but if I have a bigger reward here I will have more to share :P
- Add the Creative Commons License to your participation post :)

for more details about the artwork check the video description on DTUBE :)
thank you :) I have not been interacting much in the group yet, but I hope to do that soon, as I feel there are a lot of like minded people there :)
I would be happy if I could figure out why I can't post my damned video to dtube at all.
had the same problem you have to switch passwords :)
tell me more, I have been using "private key"
should work with that one
do you get something like this ?
because this is what I was getting for not using the right key... if not ... I really don't know
no, mine just does this:
the submit thing just spins and spins when I click submit but I never get to the next screen or whatever or an error message.
Have you tried to click advanced setings , and fill steemit content body?
I didn't know what to put in there
It might depend on what kind of browser you have.
I couldn't upload to dtube from Opera with vpn but I figured out I could upload from Chrome without vpn no problem
I have been considering that as well, but I really don't want to install chrome again
Maybe it was just the vpn? Did you try turning it off?
I don't think I had one on as far as I can tell.
Tty a different browser, other than chrom if you don't want that one...
I am thinking about trying Firefox, is that compatible with Dtube?
brave browser might be the best option
Oh yeessss! Let me see what i can do. You know how to get me excited Alex! Good job as always. You do editing better than me haha
the painting took 3 days and the editing also took me 3 days , I was losing frames ,things were going upside down and so on :))
Yeah, challenges do come with the territory. With constant practice you will pull through. 3 days for editing...wow! I sincerely admire your patience and resilience. I love your approach and attitude. We always do whatever it takes for what we love. Massive respect.
Yeah respect for sure!
😊
Yea for sure it's a lot of patience....3 days for editing!!! It should get easier every with practice.
I thought you had flimed it all and spead up the footage!
I did but I am clueless with the program I am using, so only to find options and to make all the short clips components look well together was hard, and even filming while I am painting is a bit frustrating because I do not paint in a perfect order, I move a lot, I don't realize when my camera stops and so on :))
Ah yes I ubderstand better now... Of course you had to go through all the hours of filming and pick the clips that made sense.
I have that same problem with forgeting to turn on the camera sometimes (taking pictures of the art in my case). Sometimes I realize it but I don't want to break out of the flow!
Here's one where I kind of took the photos in time: https://steemit.com/art/@senorcoconut/today-s-morning-sketch
(I only just started drawing again so please don't judge)
yes but sometimes people are interested in the entire processes, only I enjoy only the painting part for the filming and editing( someone who is good at that should do that ) so I give some content for free for video editors to edit :)

That's what I enjoyed in your video, the painting evolving into the final work. It was really inspiring.
Thanks
For something you have never tried before, this came out really nice. Magic touch haha
Judge you? Haha. This is good my friend.
Thank you @olawalium. Wow yes, I can finally spell your name without looking at it!!! Sorry I had to share this. Lol
It sure get easier with practice.
I wish i am a creative artist too... Smile.
Best of luck to the winner.
I promises there will be challenges for writers soon too :)
Ooh! Thant will be great. I will be waiting anxiously for it. Smile
yeah love the idea you got going here. i need to build on my steemit collab videos and really get that expanded upon.
:) let me know when you start a collab initiative too , I might want to get in :P
sweet, i follow you, you follow me. i'll let you know! :)
that is a plan :)
btw, this was a video collab (my second) i did at christmas -- https://steemit.com/crowdsourced/@teamhumble/the-second-steemit-collaborative-video-spread-love-for-christmas-and-new-year-is-finally-live
this is amazzzzzzziiiiiiinnnnnnggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
share this again so I can resteem and vote !!
we will do another video soon.
perfection!
This looks great, and looks like lots and lots of work! Hm...only 3 days? Probably 3x24 hours, no sleep?
about 14 h a day of painting :)))
and 5 h a day of editing because I could not take more of that clueless frustration
I know that kind of frustration!!! I go through it every time I want to do something with photoshop or illustrator. I use them so little I have to relearn everything everytime!
this is a reason for me to invite collaboration , so grate content is created by multiple authors using their best skill, because if someone helps me with video editing , or writhing , I can help them with photoshop for ex :)
Yea cool. I get it. It's a good idea!
I love the work, great colors and the boots are cool.
How does one download the video from dtube?
right click on the 3 dots and click download from magnet
Just added a link 😃
Beautiful 👍
Wow this was really good. I'm not sure what you mean by the video not being well edited. What did you think was wrong with it?
Beautiful painting. It was really cool to see the timelapse of your work too! I want to see more art but I will not participate in the re-edoting of the video, sorry I am concentrating energy in other arts!
For sure following you though! Thanks for sharing
no worries, happy you appreciate it , well let's say my video serves its purpose for a time lapse painting process , but I would like to see it transformed for something else , maybe different music maybe just parts of it overlapped with other videos for a different purpose, maybe to tell about someone else's story
I can't wait to see what people come up with
Really beautiful painting and a great idea to start a remix-contest for the video.
Unfortunately I guess, dTube doesn't provide a magnet download link automatically. So you basically would have to seed a torrent and then get the magnet link for that torrent-file. Finally you would have to copy this magnet-link in the particular field at dTube.
Maybe it would be easier to upload the video to a file-hosting service like dropbox or mega.nz and manually add the link to this post.
I just drag the source into the browser page and put that link in the magnet, am I doing that wrong ? is it not downloadable ? I guess I still have to learn stuff here :))
At least it‘s not downloadable for me. You would have to use a torrent client to upload the video and keep it seeded. Maybe you can google that or use a filehoster.
:0 I will do that , I was so sure it is downloadable
@alexandravart, I'm a video editor. I would love to work on the video, unfortunately the video is not downloadable on DTube. Can you host the video somewhere else so that it'll be downloadable?
I added a link , so excited to see what you come up with
Already downloaded the video. Will begin work on it right away.
don't forget to link it here so I can see it :D
I have been trying ceaselessly to upload the video on DTube. It always stalks at "uploading video".
Can I host the video on YouTube?
After much hassles, I was finally able to upload it on DTube.
Check it out here:

oooo my god this is amazing, love it so much !!! the bubbles/products at the end are so cool my favorite element
sure :)
Beautifull work...I would love just too be able to draw half as good
Thanks 🙏❤️
This is wonderful! You have a beautiful style and I love that you took the time to share your process. I love doing this too with my art. It's really fun for people to get an "inside look" at how we create and the work that goes into it. I love that you made a video too. I did a bunch of timed photo exposures of a painting I created, but have yet to put it into a video. You're giving me the inspiration I need to take the next step! Thank you so much for your inspiring work!
hope to see inspiring videos from you too soon :) thank you for all your kind words
