Yesterday I shared my testing of staedtler color pencils with water which was my first time ever. I wrote about how much I liked the smoothness of the final thing which looked almost as if it had been painted. Today I tried drawing/painting water itself and have also shared a time lapse of painting the parts.
This was quite challenging to achieve on this paper as you can see in the video how the paper was absorbing water which makes it nearly impossible to play with paint on the surface. After drawing one layer of white all around the subject I had to add white gouache to it to make it look opaque. The wet brush was taking the white pencils color off of the paper! Anyway, today’s illustration was more challenging than yesterday’s but I loved every second of it ❤️ I would love to hear your feedbacks on this!
P.S: I am not adding any colors while hsing the brush. The wet brush is blending the colors already laid on the paper.

Lots Of Love <3
I am begging to fall in love in love with your colored pencil piece. Maybe I would give it a try too.
Leaving the work partially is a nice idea. Other parts are left for imagination.

Thank you and yes I personally find artworks with balance of positive and negative space to be very pleasant!
