It is something beautiful to hear your voice, your production is impeccably divine.
"How much beauty has come together,
How beautiful, how beautiful a woman,
How beautiful in your face,
In your hands, your eyes ...
And when your voice resounded ...
How much beauty has come together. "
The song is so peaceful and lovely and then the mini me thang is off the chain FUNNY... you guys crack me up... how does @hedac do it? I love both versions, the video is like looking into the heart chakra of Earth, so incredibly peaceful.... have you heard of @treesisters.org ? I bet they would love this song for fundraising campaign? Their goal is to plant a million trees per day, we are at a million trees every three months. They are working toward healing the important bio diversity forests that have been desecrated in the Amazon so the corridors keep our planet systems working. Here is a link that might interest you
Hmm. I don't know if I can pick one over the other in an absolutist sense, as I can't stop listening to either. I suppose I can only answer your question in situational terms, as follows:
1. Studio version: I see this one as having more mass appeal - not in the sense of being more "accessible", but simply because it has bigger production values, and has a very majestic quality to it. Every time I listen to it, in my mind's eye I can imagine it being part of the soundtrack to a dramatic movie in which the lead character finds the wherewithal to move past some resounding personal loss. Perhaps it would be the closing song as the end credits roll, virtually guaranteeing a full house still in their seats as the lights come up. It could also be effectively deployed in this imaginary movie's trailer, somewhere at the half or two-thirds mark, seguing to some sense of a pivot from darkness to light in the character's journey. (Are you reading this, Hollywood?)
2. Live acoustic duet: This is the better one for intimate listening, and may have narrower appeal (say, campus or public radio rather than commercial radio). If you were looking to market yourself as a songwriter, this is the version that (I believe) would have more currency, as the more spartan arrangement would make it easier for other performers to imagine themselves inhabiting your work in a live setting. (I could have this all wrong, as I'm not in the music industry, at least not in any conventional sense.) Another way in which I connect to this version is as someone whose favorite album is "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye - after almost a lifetime of repeated listening, I'm still intrigued and amazed by the double-track lead vocals throughout. This version brought that album to mind for that reason. :)
I hope this answers your question (if circuitously).
PS: Thank you for writing and recording this wonderful composition, and then having the artistic courage to give the world your own reinterpretation. :)
This is beautiful, in so many different ways!
I love to see how your mini-me seems to respond and look up to the 'normal' you.
Almost as if she's your younger sister, who adores you.
Did you see the original version (with no mini-me) it's at the end of the post, that has more instruments and sounds, but somehow I liked to break the song into a simpler bare duet version. This is the second time I do a mini-me thing hahha It might as well be a little series :) though for convenience and live performances I should look for someone to duet along with hahaha.
This is another beautiful production @yidneth :-) You, your voice, the instruments and the living planet come together to encourage growth; you're a force of nature. Or a force for nature. Whichever; you're one of nature's natural talents <3 (and so is mini-you ;-))
Thanks to @hedac also; you always make sure he gets mentioned in your posts, but I have a feeling he doesn't get mentioned too much in the responses (I don't read all the responses, just a feeling I have); so thank you @hedac! :-)

Thank you for the compliment. I tend to do many tracks in a song and lately I am drawn into simplicity. I enjoy being able to bring it down to an essence
Very, very beautiful again! Beautiful lyrics, too! And as you are asking everybody which version they like better, I will answer before your asking. I also prefer the mini-me version. I mean they are both beautiful but in the simpler version I can hear the voices better, follow the lyrics. It's more intimate, it touches me more deeply.
I have to confess that I am generally not a big fan of synthesisers though occasionally I like them (as in many of your productions). But in this song I prefer the simplicity and clarity of the first version.
Seriously why aren't you famous? Or making soundtracks for movies? I am listening to this song on repeat lol. too bad I just saw it and can't upvote =/
It's ok,
that is the live version, for the original videoclip I posted in an even older post https://steemit.com/dsound/@yidneth/20180711t173911349z-priscilla-hernandez-grow
Well I do not seek to be famous though being working in music for over 15 years I've had my moments of "success" My music is niche and very specific so on one hand it's not mainstream but on the other people that likes that specific genre is aware of your name. I have collaborated in a few soundtracks too but that door is really complicated, at least in USA (I'm from Spain) there are certain laws to protect the composers so you can't be considered for major movies unless you have the studio there. Not as easy as it looks like, though definitely would love to go more on that direction, my main goal is to release my third official illustrated music book Fear no More.
Which one did you like better?. Studio version is the one in botton while riaming in the forest. I like grow, it is onevof my simolest songs, but a self encouraging exercise.
Aw thank you, did you prefer the simple live version or the studio version below... there seems not to be a consensus.
And thanks so much for the compliment :)
Your performance is so great that I can't judge you :D studio and live both had great quality! :D <3 and your 2 vocals on the live video was really perfect!
thanks so much, the studio version has a better microphone too, the live duet is just two unedited takes, still it was like an excercise to break it down into something simple and still keep the main harmonies
I spend a lot of time alone with my piano or harp I guess, it's more immediate and intimate, but I listen to the songs with more instruments in my head.
I would love to work on a project with you in future :D , surely studio condenser mics has higher quality, but your live equipment has a great quality, and as I said it was a great performance and I loved your key's sounds in the live version :)

A hug, I join your chorus of fans.
That's a really sweet compliment

This song is like a dream that I don't want to end. Beautiful!
which version did you like best? I'm rather curious and kind of was the experiment of sharing them together...
Thanks so much for the compliment :)

Beautiful! I like the simpler version, but I looooove the filmography for the studio video. 😍
