Introduction
Despite Steemit dropping delegations to @dsound yesterday, I decided (after much debate) that I would still upload to the dApp to show my support for @prc and the team for what they are trying to do to bring music to the steem blockchain. As for this track, I never really know where inspiration might strike and Broken Magic may surprise you!
Broken Magic
When I was living in Birmingham, UK, for many years, one of my flatmates got me playing a card game called "Magic The Gathering". He used to play the game all the time on his Xbox as I was walking through the living room to get to the kitchen. So I thought I'd play him at it once he taught me the rules. Then I downloaded the game on to my old laptop at the time and wanted to beat him (of course, I'm competitive haha) but in one of the games, there was an trippy kinda melody I remember hearing so I wanted to make my version of it.
Cracked open the music software and it didn't feel natural to do a Drum & Bass version so I went for a "Drumstep" track (effectively half the speed of Drum & Bass) and decided to call it "Broken Magic" seeing as the bell melody is so far away from the original music concept, you might call it broken haha.
The artwork is from a music producer (e-un) who I haven't spoken to for a while but went down to visit him back in 2011 and traded my old laptop with some money and we made a sci-fi track that I may come back to upload next year! Anyway, for now, enjoy Broken Magic!

It's a pity that they took back the delegation but it should not disappoint you :) Keep posting and I'm sure you'll start getting big votes from someone else :)
I appreciate that @delishtreats. But it's hard to keep motivation when I was ready to leave the platform before the dsound upvote came in and helped out. Before then, average post payout was around $0.20 so I don't know if I will stay.
It's been a fun experiment being on these crypto platforms this year but that move is pretty much ended musicians trust in the platform. Dsound will go on, the music community will go on but don't know if it will be on this platform.
I still have my website linked so any posts I do from there will be shared on here but yea...bit of a blow!

That slightly slower rhythm really caught me.
Funny enough I played Magic the Gathering for the first time this summer. We were on Holiday in France and my friends daughter collects the cards and wanted someone to challenge. It was cool.

Haha yea it can be a little complicated to begin with but actually quite good fun once you have learnt the basics. I haven't played for years though so it's probably evolved quite a bit since then!
