I started with poetry when I arrived here at Steemit, but it wasn't my area of strength. I have started to look into it again, having practised a lot more longer form writing.

Thanks for sharing your feedback, and what you got from this work. It was that sense of back and forth, that I'm almost there feeling, that I was trying to capture. That knowingness that things are getting better, but sometimes it all seems to slow. But yes, the underlying desire is to lift myself up - that is certainly the key element.
