RE: Ulog 29: The most important part! Sometimes your plan looks like poop. (Part 2 of 2)

Life is interesting. A friend had to walk out on her husband and has moved in with me. That started a whole lot of moving things for me. Not bad since I wanted to go through stuff - just not what I was planning on doing right now. But got some gardening done and finished NaNoWriMo. that feels pretty good.

Sort:

Those are all major accomplishments!

I nearly completed a NaNoWriMo once. It stopped short with an emergency trip back home. I've never been inclined to try again. Probably some issues tangled up in it. But mostly my fiction is just my reality with some slight twist. It never feels quite authentic either way so pretty much I stick to personal essays. All the same, I am forever impressed when I know someone who's made it through a NanNoWriMo! Congratulations!

Your friend is blessed to have you for a friend. I hope it all goes as it should.

Gardening! I tell you, I'm really tempted to do winter yard work. Know of any resources that tells a person how to that? So much got taken over by crazy plants this year. Neglect and abundant rain does not create a manicured lawn. It creates a jungle. Maybe if I go mutilate it while it's frozen, it will all die. What do you think?

Don't even ask me what plants they were. They were over 6 foot. The cats thought it was there personal jungle. Deer slept in it. The NARCO helicopter circled the property at least 6 times during harvest season. But, no. It was not that plant.

Photos? What's that?

:-)

hahaha - I know what you are saying. Photos?? I always forget to take the good ones - and to delete that not so good ones. That is why I have 25000 photos on my computer LOL

do you get snow and ice? One way is to mulch the whole thing, maybe some chicken manure on the bottom, leaves and such and cardboard. If it freezes, it should break things down pretty well...

have you watched the garden of eden garden film? they have a fb group as well.. they are into deep mulching with wood chips...

My husband has probably seen it. I am rather refusing to use fb. The big into mulching with wood chips does sound familiar.

We do have plenty of cardboard! Seriously. Between the plants themselves and the cardboard, mulching should be a piece of cake. We do have a business in town that offers more mulching resources. We're definitely covered there.

I'd really love to reclaim that long strip by the drive for starters and I found out my husband bought iris bulbs! They are staying plenty cool riding around in his truck. Just when I think I know him, I'm surprised! Always in a good way though!

We do get some snow and ice but seldom enough to worry over. By the time the temps get seriously below freezing and stay there, the weather is rather dry.

And, yes. Yes, I am awake at 2:48 am. No, I did not drink coffee after noon. No, I'm not sick. This is just one of those nights. I've fallen asleep several times and been disturbed by various things just as I reach the edge of good deep sleep. Do you dream sounds? I do. It is very annoying and disturbing.
...

Omg now the man and the cats are all awake, too. Coffee and morning chat are even being teased. We've decided to rest and see if the idea fades into sleep LoL ttyl

Hope you got some more sleep. I really do not like facebook either and am so sad that they bought Instagram. I am only going there for specific groups I am in for educational purposes and to promote my podcast. It is still where most of the people are...
