Hello and welcome to my lesson series #3 where we will talk about and learn some common strumming patterns.
Strum patterns make the music come alive and you do them by moving your arm... lol
It's as easy as that, but ya need some structure.
We will look at 3 patterns starting with Rock, moving on to Pop and finishing with some Folk/Indie,,, I don't know what to call it, but you will feel it :D
D = Downstroke
U= Upstroke
Slap = Slaphead
So Rock pattern = DUSlapU- repeat...
Pop pattern = DDSlapDU UDD - repeat
Folk pattern = DDU UDU - repeat
