nobody ever really knows the importance and impact of music, until you listen to it. really listen. when you just close your eyes and open your ears, your mind, your heart. that’s when you get it, that’s when you feel it. running through your veins, in every pore of your skin, in that part of your brain you don’t like to listen to… you feel it deep in your soul. now, THAT’S what i call listening.
in my short 23 years, i’ve listened to SO many band and many albums, some very different, some very similar, but each and every one of them has a story to tell, every single one has its own world, its own voice, its own sound, whether we like it or not. but none of them had hit me this hard. i’ve been a Paramore fan since I was 12 or 13 years old and i’ve been loving them ever since. i know every word to every song. i appreciate every band mate (those who have left, those who have only been on tour, those who have come back). to me, they’re an inspiration and i look up to them, and not in a “let me worship you as a god and put you way up there in a pedestal”, but in a “you guys make me wanna be a better person, you make me wanna train my voice and my musical skills, you make me wanna be better”. better for myself. better for others around me, maybe.
After Laughter is a kind of album that gives me strength, that tells me “hey, life is REALLY hard, and that’s okay, in a way. feel every emotion you have, that’s what makes us human”. and that’s something i like about it. it’s harsh, it’s real, it’s not sugar-coated, it’s emotional, it’s human. i think that’s a thing of beauty. this album is something like a beacon of hope, something that tells us “you’re not alone”, even when we feel like we are; that tells us that it’s okay to feel, it’s okay to cry, it’s okay to let everything out, it’s okay to not be okay. all the lyrics come straight from the heart and shoot to the soul. and the more you listen to it, the more you feel it, the more you notice you’ve lived or been living some of those situations.
today, May 12th 2018, After Laughter turns one year old. that’s one year of raw feelings. one year of tears. one year of healing. one year of changes. one year of pain. one year of fake smiles. one year of genuine happiness. one year of realness. one year of cathartic therapy. one year of growing. one year of being alive. one year of beyond amazing music. one whole year of the experience that is After Laughter.
this is a cover i’ve been waiting to make. i waited almost a year. i sang it a couple of times in public and felt it was a disaster coming from me. but now that i’m willing to let people listen to my voice, i feel like it’s not that bad. it’s just… different. i found this beautiful instrumental arrangement in YouTube a few days ago and knew it was time i did that something i’ve been wanting to make for so long. so, here it is. i hope you genuinely enjoy it and get to feel every emotion in your own way, just like i did. i’m really proud of myself and of my friends for what we did.
share and like it if you want to. if you didn’t like it, it’s okay, just keep this a positive space.
love,
Ariboo 🐱♥️

You have an amazing voice and your passion has no boundaries. I'm listening to this on repeat and I can just feel all of the emotion pouring out of your voice. I have to thank you here too for inviting me to be part of the arrangement. Love you tons, keep shining.
omg thanks for your words, i love you so much, and thank you for letting me borrow you beautiful voice! youre so talented! ♡♡♡♡♡
My dear and beautiful girl,
It's not easy putting your art and vulnerability for others to judge and see. I believe that even though your voice is mesmerizing and this cover fits you just perfectly (since you really transmit the energy of the song) , I think that the more important thing here is your bravery in believing in your own talent. You'll do wonders when you start to see how amazing you are. Keep moving forward, always doing things for love rather than fear. You'll have a life-long fan in me.
i love you way too much
