My mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I told her laundry detergent and some socks. This got me thinking about not getting what I wanted when I was a kid.
I wish I could go back and wear a smile on my face when I was gifted clothing instead of a new toy, they cared more about my survival than my entertainment.
