That is the face behind a $40 MILLION Bitcoin exit scam on the Sheep Marketplace back in December of 2013. Looks like the average Joe you'd see buying donuts at the grocery store, eh?
BIGGEST EXIT SCAM IN DARKNET HISTORY
"At the time, the missing Bitcoins were worth around $40 million, almost four times the size of the recent Evolution exit scam. Thomas Jiřikovský was caught attempting to launder some of the money when he bought an expensive house and tried to transfer large sums money to his girlfriend’s bank account. When questioned, his girlfriend, Eva Bartošová, had no good explanation for the transfer into her account of some 900,000 Crowns (~$36,000 USD). This kicked off an investigation into the couple’s finances overall. The first thing they discovered was that transfers from the same sources had previously been larger."
Tomas Jirikovsky was captured, charged and is now serving his time at a Czech prison for multiple charges, some of which are drug related (I mean he did run a marketplace over on the darknet). He got 5 years. His girlfriend was also arrested for laundering money.
On top of that, there was a hack for 5,400 BTC earlier that led to a completely separate set of events.
"The U.S. government has seized $4.5 million from two Florida men who allegedly stole 5,400 bitcoins from illegal online drug sales site Sheep Marketplace in late 2013, shortly before the price of bitcoin hit its peak of around $1,200, according to forfeiture documents filed last week in Jacksonville, Florida."
Two 21 year olds were charged with stealing bitcoins and attempting to launder them.
What would you do with $40,000,000?

Two 21 year olds....Jeez. And with all that money, no one in my life would ever want for anything again. I'd rather just do it the honorable way, even though it may never get me there. Thanks for the interesting article!

Great post keeps sharing informative for me a newbie in crypto world.
Crazy!!!
nice post
This reminds me of the Reddit post on r/drugs where the cop was giving tips to dealers on how not to get caught. He said one of the most important things to do was not tell anyone you are close to about it. Although this is at a much larger scale, I don't see this advice being any less valid. And here goes this guy not only telling his girlfriend, but getting her involved. I think that he could have kept on going if he didn't bring her into it.
Omg hahaha sheep market. 😭😭

um...
I would save/invest a few million, and find fun ways to give away the rest! Who really NEEDS more than a few million?
Where would you give it to? You'd have to be very careful about who gets such large amounts, not everyone is good or would use it for good purposes.
I wouldn't give it in large amounts, lots of small amounts to people in need, over time. Or set up a trust or something to distribute dividends out to things/people on a regular basis in perpetuity
Wow very interesting. You have some very informative posts, I'll follow you, thank you :)
Sheep market place appropriate name. So many people were willing to jump on any new drug marketplace after SR1 shutdown without waiting to see who would be trustworthy.
