There was a study done by Stanford University on the effects of simple decisions people make and their mindsets behind them. Kids were given a marshmallow and was told that if they waited 15 mins and not eat the marshmallow, the survey conductors would then come back and bring them an even better treat (cookie/ candy). They then tracked the kids' progress throughout their lives. They found that, of the kids who chose to wait in relation to kids who chose to eat the marshmallow right away, the kids that chose to wait were wildly more successful in every aspect of their lives. So here is the question:
Are you willing to delay gratification? Long enough to learn a valuable 'lesson' that will eventually lead you to that next level?
I hear so many DSL'ers who are frustrated they are not making any sales. The answer to their problems is simple. Change your mindset to an entrepreneur.
Find the lesson in not making any sales: Maybe you don't know your product enough. Maybe you need to get an edge over your competitors. Maybe you just didn't lower your mobile bids (fyi most common reason your Adwords budget is out of control). All of these things I learned because of adversity. I had to learn this craft more in order to be able to turn a profit. Is that something you're willing to do?
Posting on the forum is a given, but what else can you do? I find it funny that when I help fellow DSL'ers and they ask me something about design and optimization, they totally forget to research it themselves first. I've been guilty of this myself. A simple google search goes a long way.
Your competitor(s) might be smarter, be ahead 5 steps, and have more resources than you. But the one thing you can control is your effort and your patience. If you control both of these, you'll win a piece of the pie.
Most people can't see a lesson in their adversity. Just the fact that you are reading this all the way through means you have an edge against these people. Use it.
It's the true entrepreneurs that have the ability to be patient and wait for their "payoff". And the payoff is worth it... trust me ;)
I think standard eshop is better. In dropshipping you cant move with price.
Hmm never heard of it. Will take a look, thanks!
