Short Man's Guide To Summer Dressing

in #dressing7 years ago

How do you dress to impress when you have a vertically challenged frame? How do you put the colors to best use? Well if that is your dilemma, then fear not because we are here to give you those few tips which would help you stand out despite your body frame.

Following are some of the Do’s and Don’ts of dressing up for the summer. Go through the list so you know exactly what to do and how to do it.

DO: Brighter Tops

Wearing brighter colors on the top always draws attention away from the legs department since bright colors attract the eye. So try and wear bright colored shirts which would draw the attention to the upper half of your body rather than the whole frame.

DO: Short, Slim Swimsuits

Going around the beach in big shorts will not help at all. Interchange your shorts for a shot and slim swimsuit that will highlight your lines.

DO: Wear Slim Khakis

Ditch your Dockers in favor of slim khakis. Remember that the wider width of a pant leg and extra fabric in the rear only makes you look short.

DO: Seersucker

Don’t wear horizontal stripes. Instead go for the vertical ones as they help accentuate the height of the person.

DON'T: Tank Tops

This is deemed to be a forbidden zone for any one over the age of 12! Unless you want to roll back to the teenage days, it is advisable to stay away from tank tops.

DON'T: Baggy Shorts

Whether it be jeans or shorts, baggy is never a good choice for the wardrobe. Shorts stand out more so its clear not to wear baggy shorts and stick to slim shorts for the summers.

DON'T: Rolled Jeans

Despite being all the craze these days, folded jeans from the bottom create an impression that causes you to appear a little short in terms of height. Opting for an unmodified hemline, on the other hand, will leave you looking longer and thinner.

DON'T: Novelty Prints

Since height and age often go hand in hand, don't be surprised if your Hawaiian flower swimsuit and graphic tee gets you sidelined at clubs.

DON'T: Flip-Flops

Flip-flops are fine as long as you are on the seaside. But if you are going someplace other than that, then your feet should be properly protected with shoes that are slightly elongated toward the toe. The curvy shapes should be used for taller types.

How to dress up nicely for the summer for short people has now never been this easy. Just follow the step by step guide and it will turn out to be your best summer yet!
