Beyond dreaming

lantern.jpg For many dreams are just a recollection of what happened during the day or the entire week. We usually don't pay much attention and most of the time we forget about what we dreamed about. Some of us believed that dreams are more than just a very active imagination or repress desires. Dreams could be a sign. Perhaps someone close to you or a dead relative trying to tell you something. Ancient civilizations viewed dreaming as a means of communication. They believed that dreams were messages from their Gods, spirits or dead ancestors. The communication was either divine or supernatural and it was taken very seriously back then. Dream interpretation is been know since ancient Babylonia, Egypt, through Chinese history and other cultures. https://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/babylonian-dream-beliefs/ http://acupuncturetwincities.com/2011/01/the-meaning-of-dreams-in-chinese-medicine/

Today dreams are regarded as symbolic and important. In the early 17th century, physician sir Thomas Browne, wrote about dream interpretation, in his collected works call "On Dreams". In the 19th century, Sigmund Freud as a component of his theory of psychoanalysis, wrote the book "The Interpretation of Dreams". According to Freud, dreams were divided in two process, the first one involves unconscious forces that construct a wish, the second is the process of censorship that forcibly distorts the expression of the wish. He saw dreaming as a way of looking into our souls, a form of "wish fulfillment", though analyzing our dreams we can find the root of our problems. They could be a repressed desire of something we couldn't accomplished. bano.jpg
This is perhaps one of my favorite topics and had always intrigued me. I always look for a rational explanations for everything, but when a dream becomes reality you can't just ignore this. Hey, it could be just a coincidence right, o perhaps your "Third eye" is active without you even knowing it. The "Third Eye", basically means that you have a great intuition, that you can see far beyond your eyesight ( not talking about x-ray vision), maybe you can predict the outcome of a situation before it happens. (clairvoyance, out of body experiences, etc.)
Is complicated, trust me, I know, but fascinating indeed. If you dreamed about someone you know well, but you don't recognize the place or the people in the dream, maybe you are looking into the future o perhaps you are "dream walking", it means that you are in that persons dream. The only way of finding that out is by asking that person what they dreamed about the night before. http://www.exploringtraditions.com/dreamwalking/ http://www.dreammoods.com/
Next time you wake up from a dream, make sure to write down everything, especially symbols, places, people. It could be a message. Sweet Dreams ;)
