step2 & 3 "mechanical pencil" were just perfect, also playing with some elliptical forms which are not drawn but the observer's eye is lead to complete them. Sometimes rubbering don't take us to the good point, so, I definitively forced my self to use it at less as possible. It interrupts the flow, the Tao, the Chi, the rhythm. I rather prefer your "fresh&flow" artwork.
Eraser does affect the mind ! Very odd, but very true !
Great step by step post, spider. I enjoyed watching her being drawn bit by bit until it is finished. What amazes me is that your sketch is already so clean and focused, it is apparent that you already have what you want to draw inside your head.
I like how you drew her hair, and the flower headband is my favourite part of this picture. Very nice :).
