There was once a spidery contents here but a spider has now put them inside coccoons.... Like Shelob did with Frodo Baggins~ Or maybe like those fleshy things in Aliens before the chestburster bursts out of them~ Yep, like one of those things :D

You are definitely a spider, you have 8 hands :(( why are u good at everything like that?!! Curating, drawing, working, commenting, replying, supporting and working full time :((
leeeeeennnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaa <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
i am soooooooooooooooo not good at most things! omg! what are you talking about ; __ ; you are amazing yourself and you're always super nice and a wonderful person and you have awesome eye for quality posts and everything <3
..... i actually do most of my commenting and replying at work during quiet hours so it's a case of... "working hard" = "hardly working" ???????????
XD;;;;;;;;
I am very honored by your report and I congratulate you for the excellent sketch!
your works continuously inspire me * ___ *
Looks great!! And it is only your second time using them!! You should definitely do more watercolour images.
aaaaaaaaah sojumama <3 thank you so much <3 <3 <3
i will keep trucking.... o7
....
might take awhile but i shall not give up o7
Hi veryspider,

Wow nice watercoloring skills @veryspider! Watercolors can be hell because there's not much control...
I can imagine how it feels doing something you're new at. For me I want it to be good at first try or fuck it :D
thank you, sander :D yeah watercolour is tricky... but i think i'm doing better at it than pencil colour or markers... oddly, cuz i thought pencil colours would be more controllable but i just don't really know how to handle them, i guess XD;
hahahah you are funny :D when people are new at things, we're not usually suddenly good at first try ! i think it is a challenge though, to allow yourself to be a little 'terrible' at things as we grow.... so i understand the sentiment nodsnods
You also have watercolor pencils to have more control and you can use it with the watercolors. Well I couldn't really work with colored pencils while I'm good with the normal ones so I can relate.
Haha true and I know but it just sucks to create something crappy and lowering the achievement. But yes it's impossible mission lol. But that's the challenge going out of comfort :) But when you get through the first parts of learning it's really rewarding when you see yoy get better at it. A bit how digital drawing "was" for me...
Ohhhh very lovely artwork, spider :D.
Your watercolour work is very nice and you have shown a lot of improvement. You should use them more often, because the result is pretty niceeee ^_^.
The colours in this picture are lovely and bright, and the patterns of each material, I can see that you worked diligently on all of them.

aaaaaaaaaah thank you, scrawleroo. i really still am in the dark. you see that sudden purple patch on the ground there? i was trying something out, like i wanted to make puddle of rain water or something. but now it is just an unexplainable purple :D
but who doesnt like unexplainable sudden purple patches, am i right :D
i did work hard, though! you got that right! colours are so unwieldy !!!!
imma have to keep trucking :D thank you for your morale support !!!!
As Bob Ross would tell you - consider it a "happy accident".
In the end YOU would be the only one to know that if you hadn't pointed it out. Great work as always.
..... but it's so jarring.... how could other people NOT see it :(
it is more like "unhappy accident"
sigh
thank you, though, ranwan :) i just... i dont have the same ease / good feelings about my coloured stuff cuz they always seems to rob some of the ... the thingies that i like off my sketches. like i think my sketches are flowy and natural looking and my coloured pieces are 'try hard' and a bit stuffy. bleh. i guess it's just one of those things. i'll probably get better at it if i keep doing it, and then once i got better, i'll feel better about them too.
but in the meanwhile, honestly speaking, i kind of ....dislike my coloured pieces.

well done! I like your colors veryspider <3
thank you so much @zpzn !!!
I didn't know you had a rocky relationship with colour, you'd hardly know it with this piece. I really like your colour story here and your application. I always forget your sesonal schedule is backwards to ours, you must have a Sunny hot Christmas :)
yes i ... i dislike colours :(
i hate to admit it but i like my black and white pieces much more. to be honest, colours always freezes me up and i think i lose a significant degree of 'flow' and 'naturalness' that exist in my sketches when i colour.
and yes, we have VERY SUNNY and VERY WARM christmases in Australia :D
it's usually a good time for barbeque and cold beer for xmas day !!! XD

Sooooooo greaaaaaat !
Did you really say "I have a rocky relationship with colours" ? Really ? Are you kidding me ?
Come on, stop that immediately, and now use watercolors for every drawing ! We want it ! We need it ! :D
uh........ nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
no no no no no
NO
NO
colours are evil and they are my enemy :3
Gaaaaah~ I really do have to do something in color now. TT_TT
you really should !!! i mean .... i am NOT a big fan of colours, but it is always good to challenge ourselves !!!
So colorful and love your technique of using colors... I am still afraid of using colors..may be I need more practice .
this is really a treat to the eyes...
Love. Swati

trust me, swati....... I UNDERSTAND
i am also very afraid of using colours. i think we both probably need more practice, hahaha <3 thank you so much for such nice comment <3
I like the way you explained through steps, this way the person like me who doesn't know anything about artwork can also try to make some effort. Keep going.
i am glad that you like the steps :>
Your step to steps narratives of the artwork is splendid I was thinking HB pencils are for darker lines and then 3B are for thinner lines, but the truth is I love the way the pencil is very thin enabling the water colour to gently fit in, the way your painted the background showed a bit of natural still life ability which makes it very splendid. The pencil sketching looks amazing. How long did it take for the water colour to stick in finally?
It's a beautiful piece done with precision, well done
Thank you so much <3 I probably should try adding final lineart after the watercolour has set? i see. that is quite an idea :> Still so much to learn !!! Um, i dont remember how much time for the watercolour to set, since I got distracted a lot and ended up doing a lot of other things in between colouring.... hahaha ....
Oh boy!
Enough! You're a damn professional artist!
EPIC!
awwwoooo thank you so much ! you are very kind..... and that piccar is giving me so much pep !! XD
Thank you!
I sometimes use GIFs whenever I'm excited in commenting a post.
But mostly its pure text when I make comments.
that beautiful! just watch it feel the breeze! I loved! You are very good about the watercolor technique! Regards :)
thank you, @akarantain <3 you are very nice, always * ___ *
When I see manga painted in watercolor it always makes me think about an anime that was painted gorgeous to simulate the style, now I can't remember the name, it was like some guys got trapped into an rpg but they didn't remember anything.
Edit: Found it! it's called Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions
Anyway, It's beautiful! And you're taking a similar approach as I did when I started, I bought a 10 sheets pack and worked my way through it even if sometimes I wasn't sure what to do.
oooh, i will check out this anime :D thank you for the recommendation <3
and thank you for the kind words * ___ * I am hoping i will get better as I go through these pages... hahaha
No one would have thought that you do struggle with painting after seeing this piece, you did a great job with it. I love how you captured the effect the wind is having on the boy while he walk- his hair, the jacket and the scarf been blown by the wind, it made the painting look more realistic.
This painting is just amazing, I love it!! Have fun with the colors even when you don't get it right (lol), I am sure you will get it right though...
aaaahhhh you are too kind <3 i appreciate the positivity !!! it makes me braver * ___ * i will try to colour more !!!!!
Lol! Thank you!
You should, it will be awesome!
you are very good with water color, and I like that you have your own anime character while a lot of anime drawings are just copying some others. And I was studying in Sydney and traveled a few times to art city, Melbourne, when I was young, so I know how it feels over there, I never so sure about my costume. the climate is keep on changing.
oh yeah, i mostly draw originals :>
and yep, that sounds like australian weather to me ! we change very often throughout the day, sometimes it is hot and then suddenly cold, all in the same day !! hahaha :D
Awesome work again @veryspider! And why pants first? Indeed why not haha.. My order in colouring never makes any sense.. who cares lol
YEP ! Just do whatever feels right !!! XD
Thank you, @anouk.nox <3
It's very good, especially considering it's only your second attempt. I don't know if you're familiar with the old Enid Blyton books, famous five and secret seven. They were old English kids spy books and full of beautiful illustrations. That's the vibe that i get from this work and really takes me back to the simple pleasure of reading them. Much like painting it has done for you i think.
Oh, I know those books ! They were very fun <3 But... I dont remember the drawings / cover pictures at all... hahaha... It is such a wonderful thing to hear that this reminds you of those books, though! You dont know how happy it makes me feel * ___ * Thank you so much <3
No problem. I grew up reading all those series so they have stuck with me a little bit. I'm sure just like the next generation will feel about the harry Potter series and everything that goes with them. Art and books are wonderful things when done right and can form a big part of people's lives.

He is delightful!! And I love your comparison to playing a new game and dying a lot! That would certainly be what it would be like if I tried to paint! Congrats on the @curie vote!
hahahahah yes, that was what i felt like, because i was quite frustrated at myself a lot when i was colouring this and then it reminded me of the days when i was playing mmo and i had to train someone new and they keep making mistakes in the dungeon runs..... XD
Thank you!!!
Hi @veryspider I would never have guessed this was only your 2nd attempt at watercolours and while you may feel that it is not up to (some sort of) standard, your post is a fantastic reminder that art is something that is improved by practice, practice, practice - myself, I have not yet been game enough to make my first attempt
oh! you should try ! at least attempt it ! doesnt matter if it doesnt measure up, you can always grimace at yourself (like what im doing XD) and then keep trying to improve !!
it isn't a gentle process, but i've been told this is the ONLY way to get better.....
Thank you so much, also <3
Ah, watercolors. A worthy adversary. I try every now and again to conquer the medium, but I'm still trying to get the hang of it. But I love seeing you experiment with different mediums.
yes, it is a difficult medium to wrestle with, indeed. thank you so much for empathizing, theresa <3
Great autumn drawing!
Thank you, @sweettais :)
Fabulous!
It is certainly amazing and fun working with water color.
This piece is outstanding.
Thank you very much, @maxijgcomm :)
This is an amazing work out art! You're right the colors say autumn but I can see winter in the sky. Really wonderful job!
Thank you so much :D I am glad you can feel the winter in it hahaha :D
Hello very nice drawing and painting. It is amazing to se you skills of water color on such little details like the face.
Thank you very much <3 You are very kind !
Beautifully painted ... & quite a detailed post. The photography of your painting & drawing is also good - I know how difficult it is to take good photographs of artwork. Yes, Melbourne weather is still cold. Grrrr
Yesterday was nice though, but today's back to a bit cloudy and bleak :3
Thank you for visiting and comments <3
Pretty watercolours :D And always fun watching it come together as I scroll down the page XD Must be pretty windy there with that scarf whipping about like that, but I don't think you can ever go wrong with random flying scarves and ribbons and things anyway ;D I love that you put a pattern on the jumper! Which reminds me I really need to up my clothing game XD
Thank you, ryry <3 Yeah, Melbourne has been really cold and windy, and I hate the winter winds because it's the thing that makes the temperature really bites! > ___ <
You and me both, on the clothing game~ I'm too lazy to dress well, tbh~ hahaha
So cute!!! I love how your hair looks and your scarf flying with the wind. And it is truly never too late to learn new things, I congratulate you, you have achieved a good job, things with dedication and dedication are achieved. Kisses <3
Thank you @paokarinat ! And yes, it is never to late to learn new things :D
Hey @veryspider, this does not look anything like a newbie's attempt with watercolour. It looks professional! I love your boy (cute, good looking, aaaahh) and I can feeel the breeze. I like how you shaded his hair, his coat, his pants, his sweater, his everything and all with watercolour! Oh his eyes.... aaahh.. How do you decide which colours to use in order to come up with that shading effect? You are right, it is good to challenge ourselves sometimes, just for the fun of it. Yours turned out really well! Don't stop, please! :)
awah @marblely ! this comment knocked the breath out of me * ___ * you are too kind XD;;;;;;;;;
.... um as for colours, i just try to use all 12 colours that came with the set, so basically it's there wasn't much choice, more like i was trying out and experimenting with how things would come out.... hahahahaha~
thank you again <3 you made my day \o/
😘😍 It is trueee!
Ah ok ok, experimenting is good. Happy remainder week there @veryspider! I love Melbourne! Been there once to visit a friend of mine and loved every minute of it, even the rainy weather :)
howdy from Texas sir veryspider! hey I thought you said you were just learning with water colors! this looks like a professional artwork to me brother..I think you're better than you realize. lol. The question is, are you pleased enough with this one, or not pleased enough with this one, to keep working with watercolors?
hey are you in Australia?
Yes i am in Australia, King of Engagement, @janton !!!
........ i am not pleased with this one but i will keep trying to do better :D
howdy to Australia veryspider! oh I didn't know you were down there, we have so many wonderful steemians form there. well, I thought it was good so if that was bad then I'll really be impressed with what you call good!
hey curie liked it!
lol, the King of Engagement @janton.... I think I'm going to start using that one. ROFL.
That is a very good outcome for just a second attempt! Good job! As they say, practice makes progress so you will certainly get better. 😊
How long did it take you to finish this one? And what's the size of the painting?
yes indeed, i will keep struggling ! and it is A5 size paper and I don't remember how long it took me because most of it were spent being distracted doing something else, waiting for the paint to dry... hahaha
thank you so much for visiting and commenting <3
Maybe you can draw two subjects. You work on one while waiting for the other to get dried.
You're welcome. 😊
Oh that is a genius idea :D :D :D
Hehehe... I'm glad I gave you a good idea. 😊
Happy weekend!
Watercolor work! Nice to see the color on your paintings, I love watercolor and the way how you put them on your work, it is difficult medium and it was nice to hear your opinion about it. I think once you learned how to use it correctly then you got a key to new world. Great job @veryspider
Cheers, from Art-supporting blog @art-venture

Hi! I was interested in watching the step-by-step work on this drawing. I like the way that boy's scarf flutters in the wind. I wish you to fill in all 10 sheets of your album and I will definitely come to see 8 more of them :). Thank you!
oh, thank you so much for such sweet comments <3 i will do my best... but it might take a while :D hahaha
Waiting for the paint to dry in a watercolor art work... every watercolor artist's enemy alright. Cool work here spidey, the blue gives some highlight on the usual red and orange colors associated with Autumn. You're always consistent with anime-style drawings.
I forgot to switch between the communal account and my main account to leave that comment @veryspider :P
hahaha that is okay, @adamada <3 thank you so much for such an empathetic comment ! yes, waiting for watercolour to dry is a challenge !!!
That is so funny! I think you may have a lifetime supply of paper. The picture does give off a cool weather vibe. It is still very hot here, but almost fall.
Did all the little strokes in the boys hair take forever to do? The whole thing looks so detailed.
hahah yeah, they might last me a lifetime alright, at the rate im using them at hahaha~
it is winter here, but almost spring :)
i dont remember how long the hair takes.... probably longer than it needed to take!
The hair looked fun to do.. relaxing. I guess the Steemit community better not hold our breath waiting on more water color pics then. A masterpiece is sure to take time.
Hi! I love the watercolour, It's a amazing technique.
And your drawing is very pretty, I want to draw like that!
I hope you continue learning and showing us your progress! I'll follow you😆
Btw, sorry if my English is still not that good. Bye!
Hello! Very nice to meet you :> Your english is fine <3 Thank you for visit and comment <3 <3 <3
Nice to meet you too ^^!
Thanks 😳.
And, no problem, it's a pleasure follow you 😆.
Bye bye~.
Hey @veryspider thats a fantastic autumn painting. I love to see things from the beginning with the basic sketch to the full detailed colorfull paining!
My wife is always doing painting by numbers :-) So your free drawn art is really on the next level.
You had done here a very good job, and therefore you had deserved the ups from the steemit community well. I drop also my little by :-)
Wow Spidey, that's not bad, Do you really have 8 hands? because you put enough detail into that and really everything else you do it's almost required. The curie vote on this is well deserved and I am impressed, I would probably be at 2 or 3 hundred tries and still not get anywhere close to that good.
Talk to you later.
