I've always struggled with perfectionism, to the point of paralysis

I haven't been paralysed by perfectionism but it has kept me going well past the point I should have gone to bed or otherwise stopped XD If it's any consolation it seems to be a common flaw trait that needs to be kept under tight control ;)

I'm envious when I see highlighted wisps framing the face perfectly

Just keep drawing, just keep drawing, just keep drawing drawing drawing...

You'll be that artist someday XD Hell you probably have viewers staring at your sketches going man I wish I could draw that good.
