Elephant

One of my biggest drawing.
An elephant taking roots 🐘 🌱
It took me about ~25/30 hours of work.

To prepare my drawing, I put a grid on my model. I make the same grid on my paper in order to draw the shape of the elephant and keep the right proportions.
You can see a part of the silhouette in some pictures.

I use a bold pencil for the dark parts (like the eyes, the bottom torso, or the the skin folds), but it doesn't like very well stumps so I needed to be very careful. Rectifications are nearly impossible, there are no second try with bold pencil leads 😅

For brightest parts, I simply use a criterium with a blending stump.
Ah, I almost forgot : what you probably need the most is 🕐patience🕝, a looooot of patience ! 😋
