Well I think it's easier for us today what we woul have our hero do because we already know the outcome but he doesn't. I would advice our hero to stop the chase immediately.

I think that our hero may have forgotten that he lot 2/3 of his energy with one hit from the skull creature? It would be in our hero's bet interests to recall this information and run the other way in search of weapons or a power up...
If things start going right now, have him destroy the enemy. But if they start hurting him and he doesn’t have enough time to heal, he should run.
He should watch them all from the corner. And follow them, his fortune saying that anything good will happen so go ahead and follow them.

I think our Hero knows that his enemy will go to his friends (or to the lair) when he run away. But are this group of creatures are enemy's friends? Our hero is hoping that these are not his enemy's friends if it is then it is a trap. I can't figure out what those things that the creatures are holding, wooden dicks?
Our hero takes off his phone and makes them watch funny gifs while he sneaks out of the situation. I'm sure he has enough battery for that.
I hoped that he can become a friend. But seems now it's inevitable to fight against each other.

I told our hero to go look for better weapons, not charge head long into another battle with dildo in hand! I am still recommending a retreat and to go look for weapons.
Hero is probably exhausted already by chasing not enough energy to handle the rest of them best strategy is just to go back find a place where he can get each by one, entering their environment would be a bad idea better if they come to the hero's environment instead.
