The Struggle Is About A Certain community called Opoluama, The People Of Opoluama have long sufferred of underdevelopment in their community, and so finally they get a response from the government, funds were given and the elites in the community diverts the funds and decides to spend it the way they like, some council of elders disagree with the way the funds are being handled, but the King Ikiriko Conspires with few Elders, he decides to Appoint Elders who are on the same page as him Chief Asoyen, and Chief Sokari, Chief Letun feels that these two chiefs do not mean well for the people of Opoluama but the king shuts him never to speak but Chief Lokpoibiri The only educated chief antagonizes King Ikiriko, and Chief Lokpoibiri Is Banished from Opoluama Community, The Head Of Market Women warns the King But he refuses to Listen. The goddess also decides to warn the King but The King, King Ikiriko Is Adamant. The Youths decides to take up arms and go into the Creek. Miebi A Repentant Militant is hit with challenges after undergoing the Amnesty training Programme he decides to go back to the Creek to advise the other militants that despite the challenges Youths are The Leaders Of the Community despite his Challenges he tells the Youths that Carrying Arms in The Creek will not solve their problems or solve the community challenges, but dialogue. The Youths who are now millitants seeing that the elders are not changing remain adamant in their struggle, Miebi out of trying to convince the youths gets beaten and he lost his sight in the process, Aniefiok his friend and brother in the struggle who lost his fingers while Miebi who got shot had Warned Miebi not to go to The Creek at All but Miebi thinking he could handle the situation left out of Sturborness. News came to Ibiye, Miebi's Wife That Miebi had died because after he lost his sight the militants had been ordered by their leader to take him to the river shore and keep him there to allow fate decide what will become of him, at the end The Militants decide to attack the elders of Opoluama and King Ikiriko who discorvered that he had committed so much attrocities by his Actions, he apologises to the people Of Opoluama that he is sorry for his actions, The militants And Youths seeing his sincerity decides to surrender their arms and change from their negative ways and the people Of Opoluama community are happy again as Cheif Lokpoibiri is Accepted back. And normalcy is restored back to Opoluama Community. Though this problem still persist, but the playwright uses this play to proffer solution to the Niger Delta Crisis.
