How often do you 'self-vote'?
I believe, it's your money, you should choose how do you want to spend your money.
But I personally does not self-vote much. As I manually curate so there is not much left to self vote. Steemworld.org is showing 5.21 self vote. I usually vote myself to pass any payout level. Like if the posts payout showing .98$, I self vote to make it a round figure. Ha ha ha ...Sounds foolish? I know.

Actually the last time I upvoted one of my own posts was on 2018.03.20, so I stopped self-upvoting since a little bit more than 1 year.
Yet still almost no one cares about my posts.
Maybe, because nowadays my upvote is usually worth only around (less than) ($0.01 USD).
Nowadays most of the upvotes on my posts are coming from bot votes, and I usually earn less than $1 with a post.

There was a time when I used to self-vote every post, then a time when I didn't. Right now, I'm back to not self-voting. Instead, I've been participating in vote exchanges like @steem-bounty vote club services. It's a workaround to self-voting because every vote I give to other members gets an upvote with equal value. I like this better because you get to spread the votes to others. Plus, there are those rare times when you discover interesting accounts.

I used to self vote + i trailed a few people i follow who voted me which in turn made my account self vote as well
