Is there an afterlife or is there not? It all comes down to faith and what you believe. That aside, no matter what you do, one day everything will get sucked into a black hole at the end of time and that will be it. So why not try to extend yourself to that point?

I see Cryopreservation as a way to reach into the future. Sure it may or may not be "YOU" but why not? You will die one day no matter what you do, why not experience life longer, or increase your chance of a longer time here?
