• Mustard

I like the taste of mustard more than I like ketchup. Ketchup is generally just a tad too sweet, though I do like them with french fries, maybe because they counteract or actually complement the salt. And potatoes are kind of bland unto themselves.

Hot dogs, though, if they have any flavor don't need to drowned in some sauce, and I think mustard, especially a deli mustard, helps to draw that flavor out.

I have been known to mix the two, mustard and ketchup, but very rarely. And i think I might have eaten a hot dog with ketchup once or twice because there wasn't any mustard. Now, I'll just eat the hot dog by itself if mustard isn't available.
