RE: Poll: Do you understand what global warming is? Win a sbi share!

in #dpoll6 years ago (edited)

Did you know the city where I live used to have an average temperature of 10 degrees celsius lower than it is now? When I was a kid, "really hot days" peaked at 28. Now they peak at 40.

Did you know the oceans also warm up? This warmth generates energy, which not only changes sea climate forcing fish to adapt, migrate or die, but it also powers typhoons, so they occur more often and they get even stronger.

Did you know the light from the sun is full of radiation, which is why you shouldn't ever sunbathe around midday so you don't get cancer? Most of that radiation doesn't even get to our surface, because the planet's ozone layer filters a lot of it. But there's a growing hole on this layer.

Radiation doesn't only give cancer, it also creates energy... Energy is translated into, among other things, heat. It enables global warming. Please give me your opinion on these things.
