well talking right about steem-engine -- It's an amazing place. I made around 50 steems in a week by steem-engine and tribes are doing awesome.
My favorite tribe is creativecoin, also I use palnet coz i have enough pal to get decent curation rewards on palnet.

But still by this time I'm bullish on steem due to all these updated and specially HF21.
Hope everything will happn as thought.Hey @btcmillennial, Seriously, I think steem communities was a massive update (I came to know 3 weeks before) also after smt it is gonna be real fun coz everyone can create his crypto but as a post on @steemitblog said that they have delayed the SMT relaese due to MIRA (Multi Index RocksDB Adapter).

Please let me know your thoughts also in comments

SMTs have not been released. The Steem-Engine tokens and tribes are a sidechain project while communities and SMTs are on the chain.

In the last Witness Chat in The Ramble Steemit Inc was very clear ... communities will be released prior to SMTs.

I think communities have already come first. As far as I know we do not have smt's yet. But we sure have many communities. I use the tags for a lot of them on my posts, and I am getting good results with upvotes and engagement.

I'm really happy with this new community/tribe part of steem and still do not really know what smts are - almost two years after they were announced!!!

Yes. It adds more value to the Steem ecosystem as a whole. Though the problem is now that any man and his dog can create a token without much planning. This leads to digital garbage...

My answer is YES, it is because I don't have any other option but to choose between YES and NO. While I give more weight on that answer, as I myself would prefer to have an established community first before creating another token for that community. However, I also do believe that it may also work the other way around. The SMT's as a reward system can drive users to form a well-established community.

As the original post provided an analogy with the cart and the horse, I will also have an analogy for the question. In a region, before a train station is established in an area, there is a requirement that it should have a population of 2,000 or more, if not, then that area won't have a station. But then, if you look at the other way, if you put a train station there, development will soon follow as the area becomes more accessible, people will migrate and everything will soon progress.

Clickbait accepted!

The Steem engine, tribes and tokens are fantastic. My concern is how will they interact with the SMT's when they roll out. Like will the Palnet, have to form a new Palnet on the Steem STM's or will both of them join together somehow, or perhaps will Steem just roll that code into the Steem platform and Steem-Engin tokens become the new STM's, but now more officially supported?

These are my current thoughts on the topic. Besides this I think it's good ingenuity and is pushing our platform forward!

I have mixed feelings, on the one hand, I feel that things complicate a little, I would like everything to be simpler and we concentrate on a single currency giving it the value it deserves.

but, on the other hand, opens new options to invest and win, I have made some profit thanks to the tribes that in a way compensates the low rewards of steem.

I have already lost 95% of my hope at this point...

Yes I think they are a great and interesting idea bringing new revenue and good business possibilities to the table. I have upvoted for visibility

Sorry for the double post, didn't realize (as it was my first time) that my answer in Dpoll will be cross-posted here. Apologies.

The lack of real, human interaction (community) in general was always a big problem for the Steem blockchain.
Except for some dApps, for example dPoll.

I like Steem engine and I like the tribes too. Just think the number of tokens and tribes are too many, and a lot of people who buy tokens might loose at the end

SMT gotta be first in my opinion

I do not know this topic, but if it contributes to the community I support it!

The steem-engine tokens and tribes are pretty cool. Something for everyone and definitely motivating for small fish as you have the potential to grow faster on the side chains.

However, tribes are not well documented and its not always easy to identify which new token would be appropriate for your posts.

yes. SMTs as a reward system can lead users to form a well established community.

vote yes. Well, stimulations and supports are what make the community grow.
encouraging and motivating users.

SCOT Technology now Communities/Tribes have an opportunity to monetise their community and in my opinion it's really effective opportunity with low cost. And already we can see that many communities are live and having successful journey.@btcmillennial, In my opinion through
