RE: No Dopamine

Okay Hot Take that may not be the most popular opinion..

I think we don't get the Doapmine hit from Hive (like you said except that first big payout or post or first whale follower) and that is party WHY I like it. People are here to earn Hive and various crypto sure, but I think at least what keeps so many people here are a few reasons not related to earning $$ or the like..

  • You CAN build real connections with people on Hive by interacting with posts and authors. I have already found a few new friends on Hive that I now interact with daily on my Discord. Also I found an OLD friend from Publish0x years ago that I connected with here on Hive!
  • Most crypto blogging sites are all articles about crypto and while that is fine that isn't for everyone. Here on Hive there are communities around artwork, photography, staying active, etc etc. You can find your niche here and use it as a social media with the added bonus of earning crypto. But it doesn't HAVE to be crypto first.
  • There are passive ways to earn Hive and put your Hive to work which is awesome but there also isn't a way to pump/dump or get rich quick which I think keeps a lot of the big X named people away from Hive and thus we don't get that negative publicity and shit which is GOOD for us in the long run because people here are committed.

So yeah I am kind of glad there isn't too much dopamine here for just bloggin and interacting because I think it leads people to chase that high and then produce subpar articles and interactions.

BUT there is always fun games to play where you can chase that rush and hope to pull Legendary items and what not ;)
