Hello steemians, am chris from Nigeria, west Africa.special thanks to @dobartim for yet another oppurtunity.Several atimes i thought of replicating such ideology to the community..
If you have been to Africa for once, you would believe me that things aren't fine, the lifestyle is so harsh, ranging from insurgents, famine, illetracy, political instabilities to poor governace. This has shortened the aspirations of many youths, myself inclusive!
As a newbie on steemit,my first impression when introduced into this community was mostly to salvage my family from poverty,i told myself that finally am on a process out from lack. But most profoundly, after my first few weeks on steemit, discouragement sets in;the moment you see little or no progress..
I wasn't going to give up,no not now,not after reading other articles much upvoted as @dobartim @jerrybanfield @slowalker just to mention afew.
I started introducing people from my hostel,i made them realise the privilege of joining this great community....image source..
One major challenge we face is lack of computer/laptops,we are gradually growing in numbers, though few left when their expectations were not met with, even as it stands now,the android device i used in typing this is having a touch-pad problem..
I strongly believe in your objectives...thanks as i await your decision..
