The aim of this competition is to extend the idea for Steemit blogging. If we give a donation in food or money, when money and food are spent, we have the same problem - a poor family. If you donate a computer and teach people to make good posts and comments, then they begin to get a regular cash flow. I believe that in the first month, every new user can make $ 500, In the beginning the most money is made on good comments. Steemit with this idea can feed many people, villages, cities and poor countries. I want to launch a human idea because more users bring higher and faster growth to Steem and SBD. I want this competition to grow, to get a global dimension. Now it's only one computer, the next time the prize can be 150-300 SBD - it depends on the support you give me.
Winner ( 10 SBD ) : @easydimes
You are not only a kind, charitable person but also one that sees a need and follows through to see it solved. Those are he honorable qualities. My name is Esther Nantambi and I need to win the laptop for my brother @battebilly. When Batte joined steemit, he had been a 2years unemployed graduate of computer science. All he had to his name was a second hand laptop our father had bought him for his degree. It was old and years had taken their toll on it. He thus would wire it to get some work done. When he joined steemit, I was an intern at makerere university school of law. He was very enthusiastic and would pass by to say hallo and urge me to sign up( which I only did because i didn't want to kill his spirit). He would then walk with his broken laptop to the faculty of ICT to get free WiFi so he could steem.(data/mbs expensive more so on a laptop and he had no smart phone) I don't want to imagine how it was for him to have to arrange his laptop amidst some students for the state of his laptop is pitiable even in an African university. All i know is he was determined and persevered. evidence of this is in one of his storieshttps://steemit.com/promo-steem/@battebilly/the-joy-of-withdrawing-money-for-the-first-time-i-can-now-tell-everyone-i-meet-about-steemit-without-fear

Hey I love this!!! Teach a man to fish is better than giving a fish (but hey, giving a fish is okay too if you can't teach a man to fish for some reason. It's better than nothing).
I have one question for this contest... how do we solve the problem of people who need a laptop AND internet access?? That's something I've been trying to figure out how to tackle...
...I know some people I would desperately love to give a laptop to, but they also don't have internet.
I've considered using Steemit to raise money for things like this, but I'm new and still figuring everything out. But giving back to others (and my family) is my entire motivation for wanting to succeed!
Seeing this post made me really happy!!! @dobartim, glad I found you!
Really great feat
Great! I vote and subscribe to the blog!) Заходите ко мне @antikus369
Nice initiative Keep it up
First, I want to extol greatly, your deeds of benevolence on this hallowed platform - Steemit. Having followed you for a couple of months now, I would boldly say without any iota of doubt that you are indeed an asset to the Steemit community and a ton of value to many human lives who have crossed your path.
This bunch of accolades goes to no other than @dorbatim, the initiator, and facilitator of this life touching contest. Your positive impact on the life of Steemians is worth commendation, and I pray for nothing but an expansion of your coast.
By way of introduction, I'm Victor, a young Nigerian undergraduate hoping to graduate soon. Besides being a student, I am a creative writer, a teacher in the making and a blogger.
The reasons why I need a laptop are not far fetched. As a final year student of the University, I've got tons of research work to do so as to get contents for my written project. I have assignments to type and blogging jobs to do, but unfortunately, I can't boast of a reliable device to carry out these enormous tasks.
Ever since I joined Steemit, December last year, I have been struggling to make posts and contribute consistently to the development of the community. While having a chat in school with my friend, @kazimyrex, he expressed shock at my slow level of growth on the platform, not knowing that the fire he saw had a smoke inducing it.
A year before last, I lost my mobile device. Late last year, I faced a similar woe and had to make this post where I commented that I lost my mobile device, when interrogated by @mitneb.
Going through my blog, one would notice that I have not posted on Steemit for well, over two weeks. Though my semester's exam is a factor, but the major challenge is a laptop or smartphone to make the Steem and school work easier. The device I use is use is borrowed, and you one can imagine the embarrasment that comes with borrowed properties.
I would be super excited if I can get donations from here to make this possible. I am a follower of @dobartim, I have upvoted and would resteem this post to make my entry valid.
Thanks in anticipation - Victor.
Sir, My reputation is too low to display in your feed...Please here is my link below concerning How Steemit Changed My Life Week 8 Contest>>>>https://steemit.com/steemitultimatechallenge/@tuwatimikenneth/my-success-story-steemit-ultimate-challenge
GREAT POST,
@dobartim, i've been following your posts a week after I joined Steemit as you were introduced to me by @iamthecatalyst who was also the one that registered me.
You've been a philanthropist on this page, who is ready to help everyone on this community both new and old users and many would agree with me that testimonies have followed suit. May God bless you for this new contest too, for ensuring people get laptop, it's very kind of you and I pray to God' blessings upon you.
I'm Adekunle Adewunmi, a graduate of Mass Communication, MAPOLY, Ogun Nigeria. While in school, I struggled for means to type assignments and meet up for online submissions. It nearly cost me during my final year project writing period until a Sec. School student offered me her's for that period.
Now, as a young freelance journalist and Corper, i gave in to typing news reports with my phone and it has been going well until last February when the phone's camera suddenly stopped working and all my trial to make it work was to no avail. I said to myself, resetting default setting would bring back my camera to work but that was the beginning of dilemma.
I did just that thinking it would work out but it was just only a fallacy, it occurred to me.like I was dreaming but it's a reality.
What nearly caused my health was that after a week, I found out that my yet to be submitted new articles and poems had vanished with the phone. All my thought was that it's been saved on my SD card.
Right now, i'm just trying to gather myself together and rumble out some write-ups but my blogging submission has gotten away. I blog for Pulse.ng and you can check for verification.
Three months in Lokoja now, i was given a job to report news about Churches by a Christian Newspaper based in Lagos. My career reputation is at stake due to lack of a system and Camera to report.
If I had a laptop, this wouldn't have happened. I recently joined steemit the same February to help myself and make ends meet. Having this laptop will really go a long way to help me rebuild my morale and accomplish my goals.
I really hope to get this. Thanks.
