Central The Dolphin - Atlantis The Palm

in #dolphin7 years ago

One fine day, my frat sister Erica asked me to go with her to Atlantis The Palm - Dubai for a magical moment with the dolphins.

Being the grumpy miss that I was, I hesistantly agreed to go with her - thoughts were about water, wet, afternoon, hot.

Little did I know that this short moment would change my life.

I think it was before lunch when we drove from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. Made a quick stop to have lunch at a nearby mall and once again drove to The Palm for the whole gig.

The drive to Atlantis was enjoyable. With the new sights, new dreams were born...but I will be talking about it next time :)

So now after much care of avoiding the pedestrian who were also taking their souvenir photos in front of Atlantis and by the beach front/walk, we successfully reached our destination. Parking was a jiff because you can do valet.

Being our first time to go to Atlantis to do this experience, it took us a few minutes to find our way to the entrance. We had our tickets validated and off we went in.

We had to walk a few meters to reach the area for our ride to the Dolphin Encounter. The Dolphin Bay is at a different side thus we took the ride (free inside) to speed up our trip and to reach there at our appointed time.

By the way, access to the Aquaventure Waterpark is also included when you buy the ticket for the Dolphin Encounter - too bad we went late so we didn't get to swim around. :) The park? was uhmmm-aaazzzing!

The age? I know it is open to all ages. But I refer you to the website link below for a more detailed information.

Time? I am sure I heard being open before 10 AM? Details below :)

After a short rider, we just walked for a while and reached the hall (looked like a party hall) you can already see the souvenir shop, the huge-animous pool, people looking at the dolphins frolicking at this time...getting excited, we went in the guest hall to confirm our appointment.

We waited for a short while - I think to gather enough number of people in our group, then we were ushered inside (minding our manners as we cannot upset the dolphins)

We were brought to the changing room to get our wet suits or swim vest if you prefer (I took the suit) then we walked inside a room for a quick orientation. What to do, no jewelries, which group we go, what to do when we were in the water, how to behave in the water and etc.

Remember! You have to follow the instructions. We need to take care of these beautiful creatures. So their safety is a must. And no smoking!

You cannot take cameras in the water (the dolphins are sensitive and might be startled with the blinking of your flash). If a friend or a family member is not going in the water with you, there is an area which is considered at a safe distance from the dolphins were they will be allowed to take photos - they just need a pass.

Photos were bought from Atlantis since Erica and myself both went in the water. They have photographers and your phots you can pay for them and put them in a CD/USB at the souvenir shop after the experience.

It was invigorating. Touching these celestial creatures made my heart beat faster. But despite the excitement, I felt relaxed, mushy, sentimental, and motherly.

I hope you enjoyed our images. :)

Please meet Central. We were chatting quite a bit
