The domestic dog, which forms part of the wolf-like canids is the most abundant terrestrial carnivore. It is estimated that dogs can exert an average of 320 pounds of pressure in its mouth. Furthermore their sense of smell is 1000 to 10 million times better than ours. Depending of the dog they have around 125 to 300 million scent glands whereas the humans just have 5 million. If we go to their ears they can hear 4 times as far as humans, however as like humans, when they start to get old their hearing range decreases.
