Side-effects of owning a dog.

in #dogs7 years ago

I have never had a personal relationship with a dog until 6 months ago when I moved in with Flip. I grew up as the son of a veterinarian and dog breeder, so although I tended to many dogs, I never had an exclusive relationship with one. I want to list 5 ways spending time with Flip has changed my life.

  1. I'm kinder to myself and others.

  2. I'm more willing to play and be silly.

  3. I take fewer things for granted.

  4. I'm less stressed out.

  5. I feel loved.

It seems cheesy, but after months I can tell you it means a lot. For some more hard facts, check this out: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/the-10-health-benefits-of-dogs-and-one-health-risk_us_57dad1b8e4b04a1497b2f5a0

Also, if you are a dog owner or former dog owner, how is your life different with a pet?
