On my daily morning walk across the field with my fluffy baby (Husky) we pass a certain field that seems to kick in his 'wolf' side.   

For the length of the field he lowers himself to the ground and stalks along the edge.  The first morning we walked along it, after the corn had been harvested, I wasn't prepared for the sudden change the field would have on my dog.  

I was just catching a Pokemon on my phone when...

... the next thing I knew, lead jerked and I was stumbling across the field after a large rat.   

I walk my husky on a belt around my waist, as we race him and so we have nurtured his instinct to pull. All that power suddenly kicked in a split second, and I can tell you he is strong.   

Anyway I got him quickly under control and the rat got away. 

However every morning now, as we pass this field he switches into WOLF mode.  

I find it rather fascinating to watch. How her switches from tail high weeing on every blade of grass, into this  effective hunter, and yes he has caught a few. 

His hunting style is more like a fox then a wolf.  Suddenly he will just dive into the  hedgerow and then come back out with a mouthful of grass and rat.  He munches away at as we walk along, usually he drops it and I can pull him away before he can pick it up again. 

Love my fluffy baby, he keeps me on my toes.
