RE: Never say never again......

in #dogs6 years ago

There are a lot of issues in the state with dog breeders as well. They just passed a law in California that pet stores can only sell rescue dogs I think. It is a pretty great idea because there are so many dogs and cats that need homes. Why pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for one when there are homeless ones all over. This is very exciting news! Good luck to you and your family! Congrats!

Thank's @bozz , there aren't that many homeless dog's but of course they are. It is something we have thought about to get a dog out of the shelter but our first dog (Bo) was one too, besides the troubles we had with him in the beginning we made the decision to go for a pup because of the fact we want Sam to raise the dog :) And he can't wait to start :)

But finally the Dutch government is trying to get a grip on the dog/animal breeders... and they should....

Yeah, it can be really messy. We have way too many over here so it is a sad reality. Our dog was found with her sister and brother in a milk crate in a ditch when they were just puppies. She definitely still carries some emotional baggage from all of that, but we love her and she has a happy loving home now.
