This is my semi-final artwork for the next four 5e monsters due to drop at the end of March.
These are all relatively new critters, except for the impy guy. He's an older concept. I did a lot of analog sketches this month with my brush pen, it was good fun and helped me develop my sense of line weight a bit more. But, it did eat into my writing and rendering a little.
So left to right.
Dragon Adept? Sort of a Taoist Warlock dude with heavy draconic lineage. Blasty.
[need a name] I used these guys in a game but haven't named them yet. Sort of aboriginal pygmie psionicists from the Underdark. Not necessarily hostile, but very carnivorous.
Ebon Rainbow? Unseelie fey lord of decay... a bit like Orcus perhaps, but ruling over corrupted and blighted nature. This would place him within the court my Unseelie Psychopomp (CFQ vol. 1) serves.
[need a name] Lurking invisibly and strumming up discord, madness, paranoia and homicidal rage.
What a gang ! I like them all, they are nicely designed and well inked :)
Ugugu is the sound that comes to my head for the pygmie guy, and for the winged one that spread discord and rage and paranoia, babelrifers ! from the word babel (confusion) + rife (spread) :D :D :D
