What I meant by “equal opportunity” is that anybody can put in the time & energy to put out content, refine their skills, learn the rules of the game, and level up to build a following and rewards for the service they provide through the value delivered in their posts.

Yes, someone could invest millions in Steem Power and upvote themselves to earn greater rewards. But that’s irrelevant to the point.

The opportunity is to start from scratch. I did it. Others did it. And it could be argued that it might not have totally been “equal,” given we already brought years of writing skills and experience.
