The machine gun was developed at the end of the 19th century. Most machine-guns are belt-fed weapons that shoot from 500 to 1,000 revolutions per minute and will continue to burn during the trigger or until ammunition supplies run out.
Modern machine guns are grouped into three groups. A light machine gun, also called a squad automatic weapon (SAW), is equipped with a bipod and is operated by a single army. Medium machine gun, mounted on bipod or tripod, and fired ammunition with full force.
