I don't think it can because it would have to delete the thread including a post you didn't author. It's also not able to be deleted if there's been an upvote so I wonder if a non-upvote parent had a non-upvoted sub then it would take both if they were authored by same person. I'm going to try creating a sub on a random nothing comment I left and see if I can delete the thread.

I just tested with my comment "Bring on Alla!" and created a sub-comment to that comment. I couldn't delete the thread at that point but I could delete my sub-comment comment. From there I was then able to delete the parent thread.
Excellent experiment! I had never really thought about how the implications could play out. It just gave me an idea to suggest to @dlive in discord though.
