Great explanation @meno!
I personally think it's a good idea to do as much as possible to warn possible new members about these unethical practices. Of course, this news will quickly make the rounds here on Steemit, but I feel that we would be doing everybody a favor by also getting the word out on other platforms.
Aside from Steemit, I'm also very active on the Bitcointalkforum, being a (legendary) member there since 2013. I'll do my best to get the news out, since I really feel that this sort of thing should be properly documented and publicized.
Just created this thread on Bitcointalk:
[Drama] Dlive Ditches Steem Blockchain and Moves to the Lino blockchain
I've added your response the the thread's OP (with attribution), in hopes to get the story out. If anyone has an account there, joining in the discussion would be greatly appreciated!
The whole bit about running a logo contest here on Steemit, just to help them move platforms, is just despicable. Kinda like letting someone dig their own grave.
I'm sure that a lot of crypto news outlets would love to run a story on this. Might be worth it to send a few writers an e-mail.
