ive seen some really good streams @60fps with hardley any lag between messages

ive only recently figured out optimal settings for my machine, its a budget laptop, but if you mess with the scaling settings in OBS a bit miracles happen.
ive just got mine to run at 60fps @1080 , which is impossible on legacy servers
Might try streaming it on these setting
the main stream setting is the key frame , which needs to be set to 2 , if not you have no picture
youll have to check out the stream when you got a minute , it looks perfect for me , but like you said may not for everyone
