The 340 Million Europeans Collectively Loose 1 Million Healthy Years Per Year Due To The Effects of Nose!
That is one of least mind blowing things you will come to know reading this article. In fact, the fact about Europeans is almost negligible. Here are few of the important things you will learn:
- Two-minute silent pauses are more relaxing that actual "relaxing" music
- Auditory cortex has a separate network of neurons that fire when silence begins
- Two hours of silence per day prompted cell development in the hippocampus
- Noises failed to create any lasting impact compared to what silence accomplished in terms of cell development in brain
- Most of your brain's energy goes into "background activity"
- Complex arithmetic tasks and pattern recognition barely increase your brain's energy consumption

Will keep this in mind. I normally listen to music to cut out background noise (nothing else I can do about the background noise).
I do get very aggressive if people make unnecessary noise. Always thought it was because of good hearing but maybe it's just the mind saying it needs silence...
Glad to see that you gained some value from the article. Music is better than random noises. Over time I have managed to train myself to ignore background noises. It has somewhat helped for me. When I feel like getting really aggressive sometimes I just try to meditate on my breath for a while. It helps to calm things down. I don't know how the results will be for you.
Whoa, so I guess I'm gaining cells while I lose them from sleeping so late. 😂
