A new record has been set by a female astronaut for the longest stay in orbit by a female lasting 328 days.

The last record for the longest stay in orbit was 289 days and was set by NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson.

The record breaker Christine Koch also performed another spectacular feat while in space, which was taking part in an all female spacewalk with fellow NASA astronaut Jessica Meir.

Interesting piece.
