TSB is chopping a 5 per cent interest rate on its current account to 3 per cent from July, in a blow to savers. The bank, which suffered a huge IT meltdown last year, said that from 2 July the annual rate of interest paid on the Classic Plus Current Account will change from 5 per cent to 3 per cent on balances up to £1,500.
