Mount hopes to improve finishing under Chelsea boss Lampard - Football - Eurosport

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount believes he has the perfect educator in director Frank Lampard to enable him to tweak his blossoming goalscoring capacity, the 20-year-old has said.

Mount, who played under Lampard at Derby County last season before tailing him to Chelsea, has scored two alliance goals in four games for the London club and credits his strong structure to the Premier League club's record objective scorer.

"There is no preferred person to gain from over him," Mount, who could procure his first senior England top when they take on Bulgaria on Saturday, told reporters.

"Subsequent to preparing we do finishing sometimes. I'm obviously conversing with him consistently, especially after the games - what I can improve, where I can cause the runs and where I to can get into the container."

Lampard, who showed up scoring 211 goals for Chelsea between 2001-2014, has advanced youthful ability in his opening couple of matches and Mount is flourishing under the previous England midfielder.

His goals against Leicester City and Norwich City got the attention of England boss Gareth Southgate who rang him for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo.

Mount is trusting he can get fortunate this time around in the wake of missing out on a lady top in October last year.

"When I got called up first last year, he (Lampard) sat me down in his office and said I was called up," Mount said.

"It was a massive minute ... this time, he just spoke to me and said, 'you've been called up once more, go into it buckling down like you've been doing at Chelsea'.

"It's such an energizing time for English football. He said just go there and appreciate playing football."
