Banks of Mt Gox hanging tight to recover their bitcoin from the long-ancient trade would now be able to get pennies on the dollar by offering their cases to Fortress Investment Group.
In a letter sent to loan bosses, Michael Hourigan, an overseeing executive at the New York-based private value firm, said he is buying these cases for a bitcoin speculation vehicle the firm works.
